Worst Chigger Bite Treatments – Do You Use Them?

Spring is here and so is the search for a useful chigger bite treatment. That is a bite treatment that actually works.

The long and the short of it is, there are many victims of chigger bites this year who will run the risk of temporary injury if not perminant injury.

As in most things of life, almost everyone has an opinion about how to stop the infamous chigger bite itch. But opinions are much like belly buttons, everybody has one. However, unlike the belly button, not all opinions are created equal.

And desperate victims will sometimes stop at nothing to stop the horrible, terrible, nonstop chigger itch.

Chiggers do not get under the skin. They attach themselves to the skin by a hair follical where in it attaches a tube to inject spit into the victim. The spit is a special desolving enzyme that rots the flesh into a liquid. Then the chigger sucks the liquid back up the straw.

It not until the is decaying process starts the iching begins. It is the bodies defenses against the enzyme causing the reaction or itching to happen.

Scratching will not stop the itch, even if it does feel better momentarily. The scratching cannot go deep enough to remove the healing process of the body.

It takes any where from a week to two weeks, sometimes more for the itching to subside. It is this mother of all itches that causes people to go insane looking for the chigger bite treatment that will actually put them out of their misery.

Some of these wicked and/or useless chigger treatments are but not limited to:

#1 Chlorine baths
#2 Kerosene baths
#3 Gasoline dobs
#4 Antihystomines
#5 Anti Itch Creams
#6 Oatmeal baths
#7 Crushed aspirin
#8 Finger nail polish

These chigger bite treatments and more, do not work. Or if they do they do not last long enough to consider or waste money on.

Some of them are down right dangerous to life and limb. DO NOT USE THEM.

There are much safer bite treatments available. There are essential oils to help relieve the itching from chigger and other insect bites. Lavander is one such oil. Tea Tree oil also helps and is soothing and is a healer.

Heat applied to the chigger bite will help stop the itching. Apply heat from a hair drier on low and hold as close to the bite as possible without burning for two minutes.

Tobasco sauce applied to the bite will help stop itching. Cyane pepper is a pain inhibiter. Do not get this around mucas membranes or the genital area.
